• Notes

  She was born Habiba Azoulai, which means beloved in Arabic and translates to French as Aimée. She was born in Helwan in the oustkirts of Cairo, a region known for its thermal baths with healing properties. Following the expulsion of the jews from Egypt in 1957, Aimée migrated from Cairo to Rio de Janeiro to live with her younger son Mayer. She passed away of a cardiac arrest the day the Apollo 11 mission launched towards man's first moon landing.
